The city of Mayville has begun accepting proposals for any interested parties to take over golf operations, food and beverage operations or both at Mayville Golf Course.
Woodland Hills Golf Club in Nacogdoches and Neches Pines Golf Course in Diboll will both be managed by Woodland Hills Owner Doug Datin. Datin will be leasing Neches Pines from the City of Diboll who had previously managed the golf course.
The sale price and buyer have not been named.
Plans are for the city to retain the property as a golf course, rather than redeveloping the land.

For the first time since the 1950s, the Ryder Cup appears to be heading to the Pacific. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Olympic Club has struck a deal with the PGA of America to host the 2028 PGA Championship and 2032 Ryder Cup. The agreement is expected to be made official on Wednesday.
Longtime Callaway Staffer and legendary instructor, David Leadbetter, was named the 2017 Teacher of the Year by PGA of America. Leadbetter received the award at the PGA’s National Awards celebration in Austin, Texas on Nov. 1.
