The club is currently in default on a $3.1 million loan used to pay for course improvements over the last decade.
The city golf course last year lost $122,000. Its expenses have been more than its revenue for eight consecutive years, according to statistics compiled by the city clerk’s office. The last time it made money was $5,123 in 2008. Yet the course could need hundreds of thousands of dollars of renovations.
QHotels, which operated nine golf resorts in England and one in Scotland, has been sold for £525 million, or about $692.8 million. Real estate firm Aprirose, funded by international investors, acquired it.
